A New Smile, A New Beginning
Aira, a one-year-old infant from Kondanaguda village, was born with a congenital cleft lip. Belonging to a family with limited resources, her parents lacked the awareness to seek medical help, believing the condition was permanent.
During a village transect walk under the Adarsha Gramamu Project, our team identified Aira’s condition. We immediately facilitated her coordination with Aakar Asha Hospital, Hyderabad, where she underwent successful corrective surgery in June 2025.
The surgery has completely corrected the condition, ensuring Aira’s future growth, healthy speech development, and social well-being are no longer hindered.
